    RE:  Rally to Oppose Cuts to COLAs

 

Dear members, fellow employees, friends, supporters—

Please join us on Monday, April 12^th and Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 4:00 PM at the RI State House to oppose cuts to the State, Municipal, and Teacher Pensions.  If this supplemental budget is enacted as is, it will be the 4^th attack on our pensions and the 3^rd cut in 5-years.  Monday we hope for a huge turnout—please try to get everyone out.  On Monday the representatives will review the supplemental budget that cuts our pension benefits yet again.  If you can only make it one day please come the the MONDAY rally.

It is urgent that everyone who can joins these rallys.  Our futures depend on it.

And, please, please contact your senators and representatives and tell them that you do not support another cut to your pension—that you pay into every pay and have no choice not to pay. 

They must hear from all of us as individuals and collectively if we are going to stop this cut in its tracks!
